People Saving Their Trees in Hurricane Sandy – New Book

Thanks to all the people who sent their stories about saving their trees in Hurricane Sandy.  They are real Tree Protectors.

We – Dr. Jim Conroy and Ms. Basia Alexander – have assembled their words into this wonderful little book.

This book shows that intentional messages (like the Storm Prep Whispers®) conveyed from the heart saves trees and empowers people.

"As soon as I got the e-mail from Basia and Dr. Jim, The Tree Whisperer®s, to go outside and walk amongst the trees in my charge, that’s what I did. I walk amongst them every day. They accompany me...

"As the owners of a tree service company for over thirty years, we can honestly say that we have never seen the trees as challenged as in Hurricane Sandy. ...

— Renae’s trees and her tree service company in northwest New Jersey after Hurricane Sandy

P1290163“Hundreds of  trees fell to the ground, and yet there were so many clients that had experiences that were life altering.

“One woman had our service to her home because a tree had removed the entire front porch area and a good portion of the front of the house.  Yet, she joyously announced that the tree had just missed falling onto the rooms of her two children.  She was very grateful.

“I think that we have learned to appreciate life in whole, and each other with a new passion and gratitude.

“None of our clients were injured,  just personal property might have been damaged.

“As I am also a fengshui master with 18 years of experience, I have come to understand that the element of wood or “tree” energy in this ancient art represents the areas of family and ancestors, as well as growth and abundance.

“Trees need balance, just like humans. They need to be rooted into the earth, fed and watered so they can grow strong, expand upwards and tall into their full bloom, and when their time has come, they surrender back into the earth to begin again.”

"I live in Warren County N.J and the day before the storm I was putting pots and gardening things inside our shed. I felt a deep quiet as I was doing this work, there was an urgency but no sense of panic. When I was finished I went to all our trees (we have a small yard) and placed my hands on each one and read the Storm Prep Whispers email to them. ...

— Ellie C.’s trees in Warren County, New Jersey, after Hurricane Sandy

My concern was for a willow tree that is close to my home- it’s old and tall and a little ratty looking on the top-but I love her- she is magical and brings me great joy and I just know that fairies live under her.

Anyway I felt a deep connection as I was doing this work.

I also talked to the surrounding trees from my neighbor’s yards.

The storm came and the fierce winds were howling and scary, but I just kept sending them love, support and confidence.

Not one tree fell down even though they seemed to be bending in half.

We just had small branches in our yard. Our neighbors lost 2 sixty foot trees but they fell opposite the house sono harm done to any property- pretty darn amazing!  Thank you for your wise instruction, I believe it was this work that saved my trees.

…which is the tallest tree in our neighborhood.  At first, we were very afraid our trees would fall, but I chose to be positive and know that the trees (and my family) would all be safe.  I spoke the Storm Prep Tree Whispers to our trees many times. It was good to focus on something positive we could do for them… We are among the many people still without any power (no lights, no heat), but I am very happy because we all remained safe. ALL of our trees survived perfectly, with no damage at all. Our trees swayed with the wind but the roots held fast.”
